About Odeve
Odeve supplies and manufactures conveyor belting out of a 15,000 square foot facility in Dubai, backed by the Dutch parent business in Alkmaar. PVC, PU, timing, modular, wiremesh, PTFE, cleated and fully custom belts, held in local stock with on site installation.
The whole proposition is speed and depth of stock. A factory with a failed belt is a factory with a stopped line, and Odeve is built to be the supplier that answers and delivers rather than quoting a lead time from Europe.
The challenge
Odeve had the stock, the factory and the technicians. What they needed was to be in front of UAE factories before the belt fails, not after someone else has already quoted.
- Conveyor belts are not an industry. The buyer is not a vertical you can filter for. It is any facility running a production or handling line: food and beverage processing, packaging, recycling, logistics, building materials. There is no ready made list of factories in the UAE that happen to run conveyors, so the list had to be built from the ground up.
- Everyone already has a supplier. Belting is bought reactively, usually from whoever supplied the last one. Cold outreach had to give a plant a reason to consider changing before anything breaks, which is a much harder conversation than reacting to a breakdown.
- The decision sits with people who do not answer marketing. Maintenance managers and production engineers are not sitting in an inbox waiting for supplier pitches. They are on the floor. The message needed to be short, concrete and obviously relevant to someone who thinks in downtime and spare parts.
What we did
- Built the list by facility, not by keyword.
We mapped UAE manufacturing and processing operations across the industrial zones, Dubai, Jebel Ali, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates, and worked out which of them actually run conveyor lines rather than relying on how a company describes itself online.
- Targeted the people who own the line.
Maintenance managers, production and plant managers, engineers and procurement. These are the people who feel a belt failure, who specify the replacement and who sign the order. They are also far less targeted than the commercial titles most outbound campaigns default to.
- Made the offer concrete.
No brand story. Local stock in Dubai, the right belt for the application, on site installation and delivery in days rather than the weeks an import takes. That is the whole pitch, and it is the one thing a plant manager cares about.
- Kept it to one step.
The goal on any reply was a short conversation or a site visit, not an email thread about specifications. Belting gets specified in person, standing next to the machine.

meetings and a closed sale in the first month
The results
20+ leads, 8 meetings booked and 1 sale closed in the first month of the campaign.
A closed order inside the first thirty days, before the campaign had even reached full send volume.
Conveyor belting is also a repeat purchase, so a single factory won is not a single transaction, it is a supplier relationship that renews every time a line needs a belt.
